About The Author, Emma Carpenter
The stories in “Broncs, Bulls, and Biscuits” are from the life I have been blessed to live with my husband, Bill. The stories stem from our lives as ranchers and day workers (being hired by area ranches on an as‑needed or day‑to‑day basis).
They’re also stories from being chute help and stock contractors as part of Carpenter Rodeo Company.
Carpenter Rodeo Company
Carpenter Rodeo Company was founded by my father‑in‑law, Norman Carpenter, and his wife, Patsy (better known as Pat).
Carpenter Rodeo provided livestock for rodeos across Kansas and Oklahoma for over 44 years. Carpenter Rodeo Company retired after their last rodeo on September 18, 1999, at Perry, Oklahoma.
